ARi HOROWITZ

Ari is an expert in strategic partnerships & corporate development focused on driving user acquisition in the premium and luxury sector. He currently is engaged as the Co-Founder & Executive Chairman for STRING - Food/Travel Discovery. STRING is the latest evolution of his passion to create personalized search technology finding where to eat, drink, sleep, and play around the world from trusted contacts. He previously led Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Development for Velocity Mobile LTD, the next-generation members club which uses a combination of human and artificial intelligence to deliver the world’s most advanced lifestyle service. Ari was formerly the CEO of BlackBook Media which was sold to a joint venture of Intermedia & Yucaipa. While at BlackBook, he built an extensive network of influencers, hospitality professionals, restaurateurs, and hoteliers. Prior to BlackBook, Ari was a founder and/or part of the launch team of four technology companies – two of which were taken public and all of which were sold to public companies.

Michael SMITH

Michael is currently the CEO of STRING. Previously Michael was the co-founder and CEO of StreetEasy, which was sold to Zillow in 2013. He founded five other companies, including Loquesea Networks - four of which had successful exits including a sale to USWEB/CKS. Prior to that he was Head of Global Network Engineering and North American Trading Technology at Credit Suisse.
